Phase I: Drainfield Kickstart

Waiver summary

  • Site assessed to determine suitability for restoration. Some systems are not candidates and will receive alternative recommendations.

  • Not responsible for unmarked or mis-marked public utilities, or any private utilities that are not marked or exposed by the owner.

  • Landscaping and trench drain systems may be impacted. If fracking damages a trench system, repairs are separate from restoration costs.

  • Customer releases and agrees to indemnify Michigan Drainfield and related entities for losses tied to the listed conditions.

Limited and Conditional Warranty

  • Term: 5 years from the date of the Kickstart.

  • If the field fails within the term: Michigan Drainfield will perform additional Kickstart procedures at 50 percent off the current standard price as needed, and may recommend additional services.

  • Coverage depends on:

    • Using Michigan Drainfield for warranty service. Third party work without approval voids the warranty.

    • Ongoing monthly BioPro SRS bacteria use and septic pumping every two years by MWES or an MSTA member if out of area.

  • Transferable: Yes, if Michigan Drainfield is notified in writing within 30 days of ownership change.

  • Limits and exclusions: Misuse, flooding, fire, driving over the field, improper original installation, and other listed causes are excluded. Service visits beyond initial work may incur a service fee which can be applied to paid services. Waiver exclusions also apply.

Phase II: Drainfield Restoration

  • Coverage depends on:

    • Using Michigan Drainfield for warranty service. Third party work without approval voids the warranty.
